Taeyang, “A closer Big Bang will make an amazing appearance in 2012”

Of the nation’s top male idol groups, there are not many K-Pop fans that hesitate to choose five member team Big Bang as the best. Since their summer of 2006 debut, in the last 5 years, Big Bang has had countless hit songs, including “Lies”, “Last Farewell”, “Haru Haru”, “Sunset Glow”, “Tonight”, and “Love Song”.

They are full of performance, fashion, and personality. Not a typical boy group, Big Bang is a group that has unconventionality. Though it is clearly rare for an idol group to have a producer among the team, Big Bang is a team that has producer G-Dragon among them.

However, as the good comes with the bad, Big Bang has definitely had hardships. 2011 has been a particularly difficult year for Big Bang. With its members caught in controversies, they were put in a situation to quit the plans they had previously made.

Taeyang talks about G-Dragon and Big Bang’s plans for 2012

Taeyang, “G-Dragon, my lifelong friend”

Taeyang recently met with Star News and talked about his infinite trust on his bandmates and his childhood friend, G-Dragon.

“Since we went through many things this year, we became closer to each other.”

“As a friend, I feel sorry for Jiyong (G-Dragon) but he’ll always be someone who’s more than a family to me. Even if something worse happened, I couldn’t let go of Jiyong’s hand just like that. It’s the same thing with him. For me, he is friend for a lifetime.”

Big Bang #3 on MTVK’s Most Anticipated Comeback Acts of 2012

Why We’re Excited: 2011 was quite an eventful year for these five. After a two-year period of pursuing solo projects, ending with GD&TOP and Seungri’s VVIP album debut, Big Bang came back together for hugely successful “Tonight” and “Love Song” promotions. They then jetted off to Japan for their Love & Hope tour in May, but the short vacation period following the tour soon turned into a longer hiatus after Daesung’s involvement in a fatal car accident.
